Work schedule is determined on student availability, between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Mon. through Fri.

We are flexible, and try to accommodate scheduling around the student’s academic needs.

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

$14.00 - $16.00 depending on experience.

Qualifications:

Technically inclined self-starter with strong customer service skills. Must be a respectful, dependable, good communicator with a desire to learn new technology. Must be enrolled at UW-Madison, or Madison Area Technical College.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and experience supporting both Windows and Mac computer systems.  Other beneficial skills include software installation and troubleshooting experience, malware/virus remediation, printer deployment and troubleshooting and familiarity with computer networks, file sharing, computer imaging and Microsoft Active Directory.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Provide technical assistance to SMPH faculty and staff. Triage service requests using our web based ticketing system. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, configure and install peripheral devices such as printers, copiers, scanners. Perform computer setup and moves including desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, etc. Perform hardware upgrades including memory upgrades and hard drive replacements.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
