Join Our Research Group at the Department of Biological Systems Engineering (BSE)!

Are you a UW undergraduate student looking to gain valuable experience in computer vision research? We are seeking motivated individuals to assist us in annotating and labeling visual data from our experiments.

Details: We have 80 hours of footage to be annotated. Each hour of footage contains 240 images where each image contains about six cows that need to be annotated. The footage is pre-drawn with bounding boxes (bbox), but they are not totally correct and need to be fixed. The annotation includes fixing / drawing bounding boxes and putting an ID to each bbox.
- Compensation is a lump sum depending on the total assigned hours of footage. The rate is $36 per hour of footage.
- It is estimated that annotating one hour of footage will require approximately 2 hours of work.
- Each applicant will be assigned a minimum of 12 hours of footage, equating to a minimum lump sum pay of $432.
- Additional hours can be assigned based on the applicant's availability and willingness while being able to maintain the annotation quality.

This work needs to be done using a big monitor. We provide 27 inches 4k monitors at our lab. Applicants will need to work on-site if they don't have access to a large-size monitor.

Applicants with almost 20 hours of job appointments while having 20 hours of legal hour limits will have their appointment for this job handled by the BSE department upon completion, extending until the agreed pay is fulfilled.
