Department Overview:

The UW Department of Emergency Medicine is ranked as a leader nationally and internationally in clinical care, research, and education. The department is composed of 60+ faculty physicians, 39 residents, 20+ advanced practice providers, and a growing number of staff members.

Schedule:

This position involves a flexible schedule, around 10-20 hours per week, between the hours of 7:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday.

Qualifications:

Experience working in an office/administrative setting
Experience with Microsoft Suite
Experience with customer service

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Candidates should be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate should be willing to work in a fast paced setting with diverse team members or on their own, depending on the project.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

1. Coordinate medical student rotation logistics in partnership with the Medical Student Program Manager
2. Support the departmental staff with special projects as necessary
3. Distribute departmental mail
4. Greeting guests and visitors
5. Helping organize and maintain office common areas
6. Organization and monitoring of supply inventory/ordering new supplies as necessary

Physical Demands:

Job requires ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged amount of time. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
