Qualifications:
Current UW-Madison undergraduate student, preferably with a background in biology and/or chemistry, good attention to detail
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Basic understanding of biological processes and procedures. The ability to accurately record and organize data. Good communication skills and an ability to work in a team setting.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Washing and autoclaving glassware Preparing buffers and reagents Cataloging samples Assisting grad students and post-docs with ongoing experimental work Assisting with lab cleaning/organizing tasks
Physical Demands:
Be able to lift ~50 pounds Be able to alternate between standing and sitting and be able to stand and sit for intervals lasting up to one hour.
