Qualifications:
Current UW Madison Undergraduate Student
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Required: Experience with jsPsych and/or javascript. Excellent communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Preferred: At least two years of computer science training and some professional experience programming. Experience with Psychology research methods and/or interest in Math education.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
- Communicate over email and in meetings with project team members about the needs of the project. - Add features to existing tasks. - Troubleshoot and improve functionality of existing tasks. - Use existing tasks as a template to develop new tasks, according to the needs of the project team. - Use Gorilla’s documentation and samples to guide the work. The person hired for this position will serve as an hourly computer programmer throughout the 2024-2025 academic year and potentially summer 2025, to support the development, modification, and maintenance of study tasks that are delivered (a) online through Gorilla (https://gorilla.sc), a platform for conducting psychology experiments online and (b) via desktop computers in our lab space
