Department Overview:

Waisman Biomanufacturing (WB) is located within the Waisman Center on the west side of the University of Wisconsin campus. WB is a cGMP Contract Drug Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) that produces biological therapeutics for early-stage human clinical trials.

Flexible schedule but must fall between 7:30am - 4pm, Monday through Friday. No weekends.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Aid in the prevention of biological contaminants by tacky-rolling, disinfectant wiping and mopping of floors, walls, biological safety cabinets (BSCs), general lab equipment, work surfaces, and common touch-points
• Monitor and stock shared cleaning supplies
• Prepare cleaning solutions safely and according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Document and maintain records including room numbers, material reference numbers, equipment IDs, lot numbers, serial numbers, dates and times with a level of high accuracy
• Operation of a pass-through autoclave
• Other duties as assigned

Position Summary/Job Duties:

As a GMP Facilities Cleaning Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our client’s drug products by maintaining cleanliness and sanitizing our manufacturing cleanrooms following FDA current Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines (cGMP). You will collaborate with a small team of facility technicians and training will be provided.

Physical Demands:

Light-duty physical activity performed in level 1 personal protective equipment (PPE includes: scrubs, Tyvek lab coat, hair/beard net, face mask, safety glasses/goggles, dedicated cleanroom shoes, and nitrile gloves). All PPE is provided.
