Department Overview:

The UW–Madison Department of Biochemistry was founded in 1883. Qualifications:

Some biology background is necessary.
Some basic academic training in biology and/or biochemistry is desirable.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise protocols.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a willingness to learn new techniques and procedures.
We will provide sufficient training for candidates who demonstrate a willingness to learn and a passion for the role.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

The position will require taking an RARC course, as well as receiving training provided by our lab and being listed on regulatory protocols monitored by UHS. Most of the training you will undergo, including chemical safety and biological safety training, will provide certifications to ensure Good Laboratory Practice. Additionally, other lab maintenance tasks can be utilized to generate work hours.
The responsibilities will be shared among the team, ensuring an efficient and supportive environment for conducting experiments and achieving research goals.
