Department Overview:
WVDL is conveniently located directly behind the School of Veterinary Medicine on the UW campus with compensation of $15.00/hour for undergraduate students and $17.00/hour for professional students. Our business hours are Monday through Friday 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The ability to work under limited supervision, and an enthusiastic, can-do attitude is desired!

Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently. Strong problem-solving skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Strong computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft applications. Knowledge of installing and configuring computer hardware and software.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
This position provides technical support to the Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (WVDL) staff, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems and services. Key responsibilities include: Triaging and managing service requests, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues for end-users, and assisting WVDL IT staff with ad hoc projects. You will assist with troubleshooting, system maintenance, and software/hardware installations, all while developing practical skills and working alongside experienced professionals. If you enjoy diving into tech challenges and supporting others, this opportunity is for you.
