Department Overview:

WVDL is conveniently located directly behind the School of Veterinary Medicine on the
UW campus with compensation of $15.00/hour for undergraduate students and $17.00/hour
for professional students. Our business hours are Monday through Friday 7:45 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. The ability to work under limited supervision, and an enthusiastic, can-do
attitude is desired!

Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently. Strong problem-solving skills.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft applications. Knowledge of installing and configuring computer hardware and software.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

This position provides technical support to the Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic
Laboratory (WVDL) staff, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems and services.
Key responsibilities include: Triaging and managing service requests, troubleshooting
and resolving hardware and software issues for end-users, and assisting WVDL IT staff with
ad hoc projects.
You will assist with troubleshooting, system maintenance, and software/hardware installations, all while developing practical skills and working alongside experienced professionals. If you enjoy diving into tech challenges and supporting others, this opportunity is for you.

Walking. Lifting up to 25 lbs.
