Schedule:

10 hours/week, ideally hybrid with the ability to be on site for in-studio work as well as the option to work remotely for appropriate tasks such as editing.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled as a student majoring in a relevant field such as Communication Arts, Radio/TV/Film, Photography, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.

• Strong passion for media production and a desire to expand skills in video, photography, and multimedia content creation.

• Familiarity with video editing software.

• Basic knowledge of video and audio equipment and their operation in a studio setting.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage time efficiently, meet deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic studio environment.

• Creativity and attention to detail.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Interns will get experience in the following areas:
• Editing focused
- chroma keying (i.e. green screen)
- scrub audio (i.e. omit room tone)
- level audio
- work with different file formats
- import and export

• Adobe Creative Suite
- Premiere
- Audition
- Photoshop

• Archive media

• Shoot campus b-roll

• Setup studio

• Work with teleprompter and its software

• Video lecture recordings in studio

• Upload and share media to multiple, accessible platforms
- Kaltura MediaSpace
- Google Drive
- Box

• Caption videos
- machine-ordered (i.e. auto caption)
- alignment text (i.e. submit .txt file)
- proof and polish captions

• Communication between clients

• Project management
- from pre-production to post

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Assist in Video Production:
• Collaborate with the production team in planning and executing video shoots.
• Operate cameras, lighting equipment, and audio devices during video recording sessions.
• Assist with setting up studio space.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and organized.

Editing and Post-Production:
• Edit and assemble video footage using video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
• Enhance video and audio quality, add graphics, text, and effects as needed.
• Contribute to the development of engaging and informative multimedia content.
