Anticipated Hours Per Week:

Schedule:

2-3 shifts per week. Flexible scheduling based on class schedule and other activities.

$17.50 per hour

Qualifications:

• Preferred certification as an American Red Cross Instructor, or the ability to obtain certification upon hiring
• Experience with teaching youth swim lessons or American Red Cross Instruction
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of different instruction styles or experience training employees

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Personnel management (Instructors, in services, evaluations)
• Excellent communication (Participants, Parents, Co-workers, Supervisors)
• Organizational skills (Daily operations, weekly operations, personnel management)

Position Summary/Job Duties:

• Recruit and engage future employees and participants
• Evaluate and evolve program curriculum
• Oversee youth swim program and American Red Cross operations
• Collaborate with Swim Lead to ensure program quality
• Ensure proper enforcement of program and facility policies and procedures
• Submit and reconcile student payroll
• Schedule, evaluate, and supervise student employees
• Schedule and reconcile private lessons
• Communicate and interact with youth, adult participants, and staff
• Participate in onboarding and youth safety training
• Create weekly/monthly check-ins with the Community Programs team
• Other duties as assigned
