Nakira's World is an innovative educational technology company dedicated to making STEM learning fun and engaging for young children. We create interactive and immersive learning experiences that spark curiosity and foster a love of learning in children ages 4-14.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a university program, pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of Unity and C# programming.
Familiarity with game development concepts such as physics, animations, and AI.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for gaming, AR/VR, or interactive media.
Federal work-study required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Knowledge of 3D modeling tools (e.g., Blender, Maya) or asset creation.
Understanding of AR/VR development (e.g., Oculus, HTC Vive).
Portfolio or examples of previous Unity projects (personal, academic).

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Assist in the development of Unity-based applications, games, or simulations.

Collaborate with the team to implement game mechanics, UI/UX elements, and interactive features.

Debug and optimize code for performance and scalability.

Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to projects.

Test and refine projects to ensure a polished final product.
Document code and processes for future reference.
Stay up-to-date with Unity updates and industry trends.
