Department Overview:

Interdisciplinary Professional Programs (InterPro) is an office within the College of Engineering. The office seeks to fulfill the university's commitment to the "Wisconsin Idea" by providing online graduate degree programs, non-credit professional development courses, customized training, and technical assistance to practicing professionals and organizations in a wide range of technical disciplines. The office also offers outreach programs to engineers, technical professionals, managers, and other specialists related to technology management, implementation, and career development in a variety of industry and government organizations.

Schedule:

Flexible hours between Monday and Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM CT. We work around your class schedule! Hours can change every semester.

Qualifications:

A current UW–Madison undergraduate student. All majors and fields of study are encouraged to apply!

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Demonstrate the following qualities:
Self-motivated, efficient, and positive work ethic
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work
Excellent written and oral communication
Comfort working both as part of a team and independently
Strong attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving skills
Willingness to learn new technologies and adopt new processes on-the-job

The following experience is preferred, but not required:
Customer service
Microsoft Office Programs (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Comfort using both Macintosh and Windows operating systems
Cloud-based content management tools (i.e., Box, Google Drive)
Internal messaging apps and web conferencing tools (i.e., Teams, Zoom)

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Duties may include:
Create, edit, and organize procedural documentation
Test new tools and technologies and provide user experience data
Organize, process, and evaluate information
Compile, maintain, and prepare reports of student data
Provide customer support
Complete special projects or other related tasks as assigned
Perform additional tasks as assigned and agreed upon.
