Department Overview:

Badger Built is Wisconsin Athletics' comprehensive approach to student-athlete personal development. It is supported by five key units: Academic & Career, Alumni Relations, Engagement & Community Outreach, Leadership & Inclusion, and Student-Athlete Development. Schedule:

This position offers flexible hours, with an expectation of working 10-15 hours per week in person at the Camp Randall or Kohl Center Student-Athlete Performance Centers. Some tasks may be completed remotely based on performance. Evening and weekend availability is required, as a portion of the role involves attending different sport schedules and community partner events.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be enrolled at a higher education institutions. Ideal candidates have previous experience with social media platforms and basic knowledge of graphic design and multimedia content creation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their best practices
• Basic knowledge of graphic design and multimedia content creation (experience with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus)
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Creative Mindset with a passion for branding and digital marketing

Position Summary/Job Duties:

• Capture Badger Student-Athletes’ off-field accomplishments through photography, video, social media, etc.
• Provide administrative and creative strategy support to the Badger Built Storytelling Committee
• Take, edit, and manage photos at all Badger Built events
• Maintain a content calendar in collaboration with Badger Built units
• Create and distribute graphics across multiple platforms
• Manage social media accounts and content
• Operate cameras at events and for content creation

Physical Demands:

Applicants must be able to work evening and weekend hours.
