Schedule:
6-8 hours per week Meetings with staff - including a weekly meeting with the supervisor - will be scheduled during the Archives working hours, between M-F, 9-4, otherwise the schedule is very flexible. This position can be performed primarily remotely. However, depending on the research topic and outreach activities selected by the Student Historian, there may onsite research needs and/or in-person outreach events.

Qualifications:
-Undergraduate student who can make an academic year commitment -Perspectives and experiences of marginalized/underrepresented communities on campus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
-Experience and/or interest in archives, archival research, public history and/or campus history -Commitment to developing strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills -Attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to work independently and to reliably meet scheduled commitments
Position Summary/Job Duties:
THE STUDENT HISTORIANS WILL: -Develop a project focused on historically under-researched and underrepresented people and stories in our campus current and past history -Work on peer outreach and education activities related to their work and/or the Archives -Share their work with the campus community in one or more ways, which could include a physical exhibit, web exhibit, presentation, podcast, publication, etc.
