Department Overview:
In the Department of Geoscience, we study some of the world’s most pressing problems, such as energy, the environment, mineral resources, and climate. Armed with a clear understanding of how Earth developed, we can then anticipate where it’s going and how it will get there. Together, we aim to prepare students to become leaders in this growing and important field.

Qualifications:
Current UW-Madison students enrolled in a STEM program with an interest in glacier and ice sheet dynamics. Prior research experience is not required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Knowledge of Matlab, Python, C++ or similar programming language.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Running and/or programming ice sheet models, visualizing and analyzing model outputs. The goal of this research is to understand ice glacier and ice sheet dynamics and improve representation of the physical processes underlying these dynamics in ice sheet models.
