Fridays and weekends required, variable weekdays. 4-20 hours per week (dependent on your
schedule, typically custodial staff work weekends from 7 am- 10 pm)

Qualifications:

- Ability to work at either the Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center or the Nicholas Recreation Center, Nielsen tennis stadium
- Ability to work weekends
- Communication, leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to balance academic and job responsibilities
- Must be able to attend department-wide and program specific trainings

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Student Custodians safely operate cleaning equipment and machinery to maintain the cleanliness and safety of Rec Well facilities. Duties include washing windows and mirrors, cleaning bathrooms and high-traffic areas, and enforcing facility policies and procedures. Staff in this role communicate with team members, complete reports, and track supply inventory. This position requires problem-solving, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Attention to detail, motivation, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are important. Previous experience in cleaning or facility care is helpful but not required.
