Department Overview:
SimLab consists of in-person and remote work, working in Mixed-Reality (MR) and Virtual-Reality (VR) simulation-based learning. Providing these services to teachers and schools to better understand and work through difficult discussion topics. SimLab is based out of the Wisconsin Center for Education Research building on the UW-Madison Campus.

Qualifications:
Required Current undergraduate student at UW-Madison Preferred Any major, though communications, marketing, media, design, or related fields are a plus Preferred Ability to help document lab activities (photos, short videos, explanations) Experience creating content (posts, short videos, graphics, captions) Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, or Photoshop Awareness of analytics (engagement, reach, impressions) Comfortable interviewing lab staff and partners and translating technical work into accessible language
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Required Strong written communication skills Comfort using social media platforms Interest in the SimLab’s mission, services, and technology Basic understanding of digital marketing or content creation Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Organized, reliable, and able to manage 15–20 hours/week Ability to take feedback and iterate on content Curious and adaptable
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Technical assistance and production of Marketing and Social Media presence for SimLab. Working to promote the services and capabilities of the project and increase its visibility.
