Schedule:

 Part-time hours are flexible to fit with your class schedule. Should be able to work 2+ shifts per week, can put in 3-4 hours during each shift, up to 10 hrs/week.

Qualifications:

 Current life sciences undergraduate student. No prior lab experience is required, but attention to detail and reliability are important.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Efficient, quick on their feet, communication, general background around working with microorganisms and handling lab materials is preferred but not necessary.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Duties mainly involve the following:
1. Dish-washing glassware.
2. Arranging, autoclaving, and restocking some general lab materials (pipette tips, microcentrifuge tubes, toothpicks, distilled water, tween).
3. Routine clearing of trash (autoclaving )
4. Breaking down empty cardboard boxes and disposing of them at the loading dock.
5. Performing a spore test on autoclaves once per month.
6. Keep water carboys filled.

Responsibilities include washing lab glassware, autoclaving, preparing media, and helping maintain a clean and organized workspace.
