Department Overview:

Located in the School of Computer, Data & Information Sciences (CDIS), Internet Scout Research Group (https://scout.wisc.edu) specializes in creating practical web-based information and software solutions for educators, librarians, and researchers. We are looking for a student (with a graduation date of May 2028 or later) to help us with a variety of tasks related to Scout's digital resource collections.

Data entry or other administrative experience preferred.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Job duties for the Digital Collections Assistant may include:
Data entry and record maintenance (primary task)
Documentation revision and upkeep
Research and fact checking
Assisting with special projects, as needed

Physical Demands:

Sitting - Remaining in a seated position
Near Visual Acuity - Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e. reading small print on a computer screen)
Keyboarding - Entering text or data into a computer by means of a keyboard
