Department Overview:
4-H programming aims to engage youth in activities to increase their leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills. Our programs center on the 4-Hs—head, heart, hands, and health. This is the foundation for everything we do.

Qualifications:
Evidence of effective leadership skills in school or community organizations. Experience in youth related outreach education preferred. Strong commitment to Division of Extension mission & 4-H Youth Development principles and practices; 4-H experience desirable. Experience with Microsoft Office computer software and other technology skills desirable. Employment will require a criminal background check Student must be enrolled for credit at an educational institution. Student will need to show proof of enrollment before starting.

Position Summary/Job Duties:
Assist in the supervision and delivery of 4-H overnight camping programs. Assist with the coordination and delivery of 4-H summer programming. Prepare media releases related to Extension program events/activities. Provide educational support and assistance for pre-fair events such as cake revue, and other as needed. Be present at the Barron County Fair and provide assistance and leadership to youth judging and scheduled events as needed. Serve as an educational resource and role model and help provide leadership and guidance for 4-H Older Member educational events and activities. Assist in Extension-based additional short term programming as opportunities arise. Other work as designated by 4-H Program Educator.
