Department Overview:
The UW-Madison Environmental & Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine (EOH-OM) Programs help assure that the UW campus and affiliated facilities are safe and healthy for those who learn, live, work, and visit. In addition to assessing campus locations for hazards, the EOH-OM Programs support regulatory compliance efforts and provide patient care services for staff and students who encounter workplace hazards at campus facilities. If you are interested in physical therapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation psychology or industrial engineering, then this position is a great opportunity for you to explore a related field and gain valuable experience.

Qualifications:
-- Enrolled as a credit-seeking student at UW-Madison -- Driver’s license
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
-- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite -- Effective communication skills, experience communicating in challenging situations -- Ability to self-motivate and work independently Preferred: -- Undergraduate or graduate coursework or experience in physical therapy, kinesiology, rehabilitation psychology, engineering, occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, and / or pre-health
Position Summary/Job Duties:
The position as an Ergonomics Program Student Assistant in Environmental and Occupational Health – Ergonomics will provide various Program support. Job duties include: - Conducting ergonomics showroom appointments and assessments, adjusting, and fitting various equipment. - Assisting with work injury follow up and operationalizing the new “work-incident E-App” - Provide assistance with data analysis and SharePoint - Developing and operationalizing the Employee Injury Prevention Physical Therapy Clinic - Teaching and educating campus employees on proper ergonomics with various tasks - Support other projects as able

Frequent: Sitting work, standing work Occasional: Walking, hand/finger coordination Rare: Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling < 15 lbs., low work, driving campus vehicle
