CIRTL Central is the administrative hub of this Network, located within UW-Madison’s School of Education (Educational Sciences Building), where we manage the logistics of keeping such a unique collaboration alive. Qualifications:
Required: -Good time management skills, ability to track multiple projects and due dates, adaptable -Strong written and oral communication skills -Close attention to detail -Reliability and ability to maintain a regular schedule -Ability to work independently and solve problems on your own, with limited supervision -Familiarity with Google tools - such as Drive, Docs, Sheets, and YouTube -Familiarity with using Microsoft Office products - such as Word, Excel
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Preferred: -Experience with or willingness to learn new digital tools -Working knowledge of Adobe products, such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro -Familiarity with website editing, such as using WordPress or Google Sites -Familiarity with data analysis -Knowledge of accessibility best practices in online and print materials
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Typical job duties may include any of the following: -Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases for data management -Research and update contact lists for membership recruitment and alum connections -Prepare materials and webpages for national meetings -Assist in developing and maintaining website content -Create template materials for meetings -Attend occasional online meetings -Assist with ordering occasional swag, printing, or other materials -Communicate regularly and in a timely manner online via Slack and email -Edit and post captioned videos of online events -Create alt-text for images in online materials -Create and edit course pages on Moodle, CIRTL’s learning management system -Use Qualtrics and Google Forms to create online surveys and retrieve response data -Meeting support tasks using Zoom and Google Drive tools -Data management tasks using Google Sheets with the potential for some quantitative and qualitative data analysis work -Survey drafting and management on the Qualtrics platform for program registrations, evaluations, and other needs -Basic researching of websites for information related to universities or organizations -Contributing to website content and maintenance -Updating online materials (documents, videos, etc.) to meet accessibility standards -Online collaboration with colleagues in the US and beyond
Physical Demands:
Packing or carrying boxes of meeting supplies a few times per year (preferred, not required).
