Schedule:
Shifts will occur on Saturdays and Sundays between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM during the summer. Summer hours will be 4–20 hours per week, depending on schedule and operational needs. During the school year, shifts will occur on Fridays from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

Qualifications:
- Ability to work at either the Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center or the Nicholas Recreation Center. - Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification upon hire, with certification costs covered by Rec Well. - Ability to work weekends. - Communication, leadership, and organizational skills. - Ability to balance academic and job responsibilities. - Must be able to attend department-wide and, program-specific trainings.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with staff and facility users. - Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to maintain cleanliness standards across multiple spaces. - Ability to identify issues, problem solve, and respond effectively. - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and stay productive during evening and weekend shifts.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Position Summary: Within the Division of Recreation & Wellbeing, the Student Custodian is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the evening and weekend hours of operation in Rec Well Facilities. This role is essential to ensuring that all our members and guests are experiencing clean and safe facilities during some of our busiest hours of operation. This high standard of cleanliness that our student custodians help us maintain inspires a welcoming and positive environment for wellbeing In this role you will: - Safely operate custodial cleaning equipment and machinery. - Wash and clean windows and mirrors. - Clean bathrooms and commonly used areas. - Ensure proper enforcement of program and facility policies and procedures. - Communicate and interact with staff. - Complete necessary reports and track inventory levels. - Problem solve and think critically. - Work independently and as part of a team while staying motivated. - Learn to maintain attention to detail throughout various projects.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
