Department Overview:
The Division of Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M) is a full-spectrum service organization that builds, maintains, and operates the physical environment of the UW-Madison campus in support of the university's education, research, and outreach activities. FP&M works behind the scenes to coordinate campus planning, manage design and construction, maintain and operate buildings and grounds, supply utility services, ensure health and safety, and provide parking and transportation services. Our campus customers include anyone who works, studies, visits, or lives on campus.) Environment, Health & Safety’s, Hazardous Building Materials group is comprised of a small team of asbestos and lead inspector professionals. Our mission is to protect and promote the health and safety of people, buildings, spaces, and the natural environment at UW-Madison, its affiliates, and surrounding community.

Qualifications:
• Able to consistently work at least 10 hours per week throughout the school year • Experience with Excel preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
• Effective communicator; asks questions when unsure • Ability to work independently • Detail oriented, quality oriented, and efficient • Strong critical thinking to analyze documents
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Seeking an independent, self-motivated student employee to assist with data entry for asbestos and lead inspection results for UW-Madison. Primary duties include review of files and data entry. Candidates will receive on-the-job training to perform this work.
Physical Demands:
Ability to work on-site, using computer/mouse/keyboard. Standing/walking for a short period.
