Department Overview:
Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M) supports UW–Madison’s academic and research mission by maintaining campus buildings, utility systems, and infrastructure. The department ensures safe, reliable, and well-maintained facilities for students, staff, and faculty.

Position Summary/Job Duties:
Position Summary/Job Duties: -Support Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M) operations through inspections, documentation, and general maintenance activities -Assist with facility maintenance, safety, and operational programs across campus -Perform routine assignments and provide support to maintenance and trades staff as directed -Help identify and report facility deficiencies, safety concerns, and maintenance needs -Assist with organizing materials, maintaining work areas, and supporting campus facility operations -Provide general assistance to Physical Plant operations and special projects as needed

Physical Demands: -Ability to walk between buildings -Ability to stand for extended periods -Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and push 100 lbs -Ability to access eyewash stations, including bending or reaching
