Department Overview:

The Waisman Laboratory for Brain Imaging PET lab acquires positron emission tomography (PET) scans on a daily basis. Our research focus on developing and translating novel PET methods for the study of neurodevelopment and neurodegeneration.

Schedule:

12-16 hours per week during semester, up to 29.5 during University recesses. Shifts between 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday. Will work with student to schedule around classes. Availability in 3+ hour chunks preferred

Qualifications:

Student in a physical science field.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

General laboratory knowledge required. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate applied skills in physics, chemistry, and/or biology. Drive and self-sufficiency a plus.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are looking for undergraduates to assist in various lab tasks. These tasks includes, but are not limited to; pharmaceutical quality control, basic lab cleaning, and inventorying supplies. In addition to the aforementioned tasks, we will also give projects based on students' experience/ interest.

Physical Demands:

Sitting / standing long periods of time, must be able to lift 25 pounds occasionally.
