4–8 hours per shift, Monday through Friday

Qualifications:

Undergrad student here at UW who is a freshman or sophomore with some lab experience, is good at computers (especially Excel), dependable, and has the has the ability to communicate with various teams. Willing to learn and engage with patient care teams within UW health hospitals and clinics.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excel, interpersonal skills, ability to start as early as 6:30, and ability to use cryostat. All of this is preferred but not required to apply since you will be trained on the job.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

1. Store specimens from the surgery or procedure
2. Cryostat tissue blocks
3. Patient consent to our protocol via telephone or in person
4. Various data entry tasks
5. Monitor surgery status using Epic
