Schedule:

Flexible with days and time but is expected to keep up with the lab's requirements of materials. Should be able to work 2+ shifts per week, can put in 4-5 hours during each shift.

Qualifications:

Current life sciences undergraduate student

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

We are looking for someone who is efficient, quick on their feet, a good communicator, and has a general background working with microorganisms and handling lab materials. Will train.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Duties mainly involve the following:

1. Dish-washing glassware
2. Arranging and autoclaving some general lab materials (tips, microcentrifuge tubes, toothpicks, distilled water, tween)
3. Routine clearing of trash, autoclaving them and bringing them down to the dumpster at the loading dock
4. Breaking down empty cardboard boxes and their disposal at the loading dock.
5. Restocking lab supplies (paper towels, tips, microcentrifuge tubes)

This would help students working in a different research lab but are up for some extra-curricular lab work in ours and get paid for it. We are looking for someone who could potentially stay with us for more than a semester, preferably a year.
