Department Overview:

Come join a fun environment and build your resume at the University of Wisconsin Survey Center! We are offering on-site work at Sterling Hall from 9-5 Monday-Friday to assist our Mail & Date Entry (M&DE) department with many different research projects. The UW Survey Center conducts high quality research for university professors, federal and state government agencies, and non-profit organizations. We do not do fund raising or campaigning. We gather social science data to help researchers and policy makers study and improve programs and policies in Wisconsin and throughout the United States.

The Mail & Data Entry department is open M-F 9-5.

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

$15.00

Qualifications:

Must be able to assist with mail studies and conduct data entry for a variety of academic surveys at our offices in Sterling Hall for at least 12 hours per week Monday - Friday 9-5pm.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong candidates will be independently productive, have strong computer skills, have a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute, and have a high degree of attention to detail. Ideal candidates would be able to commit to working the end of 2024.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Survey Mail and Data Entry staff assemble and send out academic mail studies to respondents and enter the returned and completed questionnaires on behalf of university researchers, state and federal government agencies, and non-profit organizations

Physical Demands:

Ability to handle reems of paper, sit at a computer for extended periods.
