Schedule:

Hours will vary but some regular shifts may be available. Occasional evenings and weekend shifts ongoing but typical is Wednesday, Friday or Sunday evenings starting as early as 3pm.  

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $15.00 to $19.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Non-mobile, non-verbal, and non-oral 11 year old with intractable epilepsy, g tube, developmental delays and a sweet yet spunky personality needs respite providers. Duties include g tube feeds, giving medications, toileting, playing, bathing, and preparing child for bed.  Full training on all cares, including seizure recognition, will be provided.

Anyone interested can apply but this is a great opportunity for students who need experience/hours with physical/occupational/speech/feeding therapies or nursing skills.   Must be health/respiratory illness conscious as even the common cold can put our girl in the hospital.  Position is paid for by CLTS funding and background check clearance will be required before work can begin.  

Location of care is on the far east side of Madison and sometimes Sun Prairie so you must have access to a vehicle.

Qualifications:

  • Must have transportation.
  • Pay rate based on experience. The successful entry level candidate will have the opportunity to increase pay from minimum typically within 6 months with good performance and reliability.

Physical Demands

Transfer lifting (she does weight bear some) of 60+ lbs.
