Position Summary/Job Duties:
Provide in-home help / companionship for low-support needs autistic woman while in treatment & recovery for dissociative disorder. Support daily tasks as needed, such as home care and recreation (arts and crafts, video games, gardening, etc). Perform light housekeeping duties (e.g., laundry, grocery shopping, cooking, tidying). Go out for appointments/errands as needed.
Qualifications:
Has calm, supportive presence
Understands safety measures in cases of mental health emergencies/distress
Previous experience with autism and mental health
Has a vehicle
Experience with yoga a plus (for grounding exercises)
Likes cats!
Physical Demands
Household chores, can lift groceries / light to medium weight items (<50 lbs)
