Department Overview:

Flip and Dip Summer Camp is dedicated to providing a fun, safe and nurturing environment that allows campers to Jump, Swim and Grow through a summer of fun!

Flip and Dip Summer Camp is proud to be recognized as a premier youth focused summer camp. Helping campers from ages 5 to 11 build friendships and confidence through aquatic, gymnastic and outdoor activities. Camper will build their emotional, physical and developmental skills as they experience new opportunities each week through our fun and exciting themes. 

Join our team to help campers be a part of something more and build lasting memories as we Jump, Swim and Grow our way through a summer of fun.

Flip and Dip runs from June 10th- August 30th; Monday- Friday 7:45am-3:45pm.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are looking for enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Counselors. As a counselor, you will play a key role in creating a safe, fun, and memorable experience for campers while fostering personal growth and skill development.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and engage with campers during various activities, including games, sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times, following established safety protocols and guidelines
  • Serve as a positive role model and mentor for campers, promoting teamwork, respect, and inclusion
  • Assist with planning and implementing daily schedules and special events
  • Communicate effectively with campers, parents/guardians, and fellow staff members
  • Handle any behavioral issues or conflicts that may arise with professionalism and patience
  • Collaborate with other counselors and camp leadership to create a supportive and cohesive camp community
  • Participate in staff training sessions and meetings as required

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old 
  • Previous experience working with children in a camp, recreational, or educational setting is preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Enthusiasm for outdoor activities and willingness to participate in camp themes
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification is preferred, but will train
  • Background check and/or other clearance requirements may apply
