Department Overview:

Family living outside of Poynette. Approximately 20-30 minutes from Madison.

Schedule:

Flexible. Mostly mornings. Possible Wednesday afternoons. Ranging from 2 to 5 days per week.

Mainly summer work but possible hours in fall if works with schedule.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Needed Special Needs Caregiver In Poynette

Our son is going to be 19 years old (personality age ranges from 10-16). He enjoys being outside, playing games and watching movies. He has a good sense of humor and memory for movies and music. We are looking for someone with Special Needs experience to care for him.

Familiarity with any of the following:is a bonus:

  • Sensory issues
  • OT
  • Speech
  • Special education
  • OCD therapy
  • Familiarity with other autistic tendencies is beneficial

Duties will include:

  1. Working on Daily Living skills
  2. Social skills
  3. Having fun.

I will also be home during this time doing things that I am not able to accomplish otherwise. Light house work is appreciated.

Pay is $20-30/hour BOE. Approximately 8-15 hours per week. Will reimburse for drive time. Start date is flexible.

Specific hours will be determined at a later date.
This is a respite position so paperwork will be required before hiring is completed

HIs typical routine is watching some tv, doing chores and exercising as well as some scoial interactionk. Please let me know if you are interested.

Qualifications:

Autism experience or other special needs experience.

Physical Demands

Must keep up with a 18 year old boy who likes to run, walk, and swim.
