Department Overview:

Dreamweavers is a non-profit agency that helps adults with developmental disabilities live a high quality, independent life in their homes and in the community. We strive towards providing the necessary support so persons with disabilities may access community opportunities, have safe and happy lives, and work towards self-reliance and independence. Depending upon the home, some responsibilities may include personal cares, attending to medical needs, or negotiating behavioral challenges. Our homes are all in Madison, on bus lines, and we offer very flexible schedules…perfect for students!

Anticipated Hours Per Week

5 to 25

Schedule:

Weekday afternoons/evenings, 2.5-5 hrs per shift, some weekend shifts also available for the male consumer only (5-12 hrs)

Position Summary/Job Duties:

GET PAID TO HAVE FUN!

Dreamweavers is seeking responsible, enthusiastic support staff to help two developmentally disabled adults who live independently within the community near Hilldale.

Responsibilities with the man include: mentoring & emotional support, plus helping with: household upkeep, going on walks, antiquing, collecting, shopping, healthy cooking & eating, and being open to trying new things.

Responsibilities with the woman include: mentoring & emotional support, assisting with visits to Pinnacle Gym, helping with online literacy class, going for walks, playing games, reading.

Hours include: weekday afternoons/evenings, daytime on weekends with the male consumer only. Part time or full time hours available.
Must have insured vehicle and valid driver’s license to be considered for these positions.

No experience necessary, all training provided on the job. Must have reliable, insured vehicle and driver's license.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or its equivalent to be considered for employment.
Must have reliable, insured vehicle and driver's license.
