Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are looking for a confident, self-driven Marketing Intern to join our executive team. Work directly with the CEO and site managers to develop and execute a multi-tiered marketing strategy to promote our summer events, programs, and boat rentals. If you’re ready to hit the ground running, this high-paced internship will allow you to prove your skills and grow professionally.

Hours: 10-20 hours per week Pay: $17 per hour Duration: January - May (with the option to extend) Location: Madison Boats: 824 Knickerbocker Street Madison WI 53711

Objective

Develop a marketing plan designed to increase rentals and promote events.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree or job in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.

  • Strong desire to learn and a professional drive, with a passion for the marketing industry and its best practices.

  • Solid understanding of various marketing techniques and digital platforms.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • A love for the outdoors and engaging with people.

  • Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop (or similar design programs).

  • Experience in photography (mobile or digital).

  • A vehicle or reliable mode of transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation & Management: Lead content creation for social media, newsletters, and point-of-sale materials utilizing a database of collateral.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Develop a matrix to evaluate campaigns with options to lever up/down based on engagement.

  • Implementation Plan: Set realistic and achievable action items for the Madison Boats team to implement over the summer season. And Implement preseason efforts.
