Monona Catering, the exclusive catering service for the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center, is presently seeking to hire cooks. Our organization provides catering services to groups ranging from two individuals to over two thousand attendees. Monona Catering operates as a union workplace, and employees become eligible for benefits after 60 days of employment, provided they maintain an average of 30 hours of work per week. Benefits include health insurance, dental coverage, short-term disability, and a 401(k) retirement plan.

The Lake Vista Café is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 11 am to 7 pm. Closing hours are extended for Concerts on the Roof and Dane Dances. Weekend availability is expected, and we rotate the weekends as needed. Applicants must be 18 or older and available from mid-May through the end of September. Due to this being a seasonal position, we ask that staff do not request an extended period off, such as two weeks or more.

Monona Catering is currently hiring for the Lake Vista Café, our seasonal, casual café, located on the rooftop of the Monona Terrace overlooking Lake Monona. Weekend availability is a must. Employees of the Lake Vista Café are expected to be presentable, pleasant, timely, fun, energetic, service-oriented people who can handle a fast-paced environment. Some restaurant service background is encouraged, but we are willing to train the right person to join our team. Due to this being a seasonal position, we ask that staff not request off for an extended period, such as 2 weeks or more. Applicants must be available from early May through the end of September. (If you are a college student, we understand that when school starts, you will have to reduce your availability.)

Starting wage is $15.53 per hour plus tips.

Personal appearance standards do apply, which includes neatly trimmed facial hair and limited facial piercings. Discounted Parking is available. Part of your uniform and meals are provided.
