Position Summary/Job Duties:

As the Student Athlete Dining Supervisor, you’ll oversee the daily operations of the UW Madison student athlete dining program, managing a dedicated team to ensure smooth event execution from setup to breakdown. Your role will ensure that all needs are met and the highest standards of service are maintained. Anticipated start date of May 1st. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage inventory to minimize waste and maintain high valuation. 
  • Supervise staff to ensure they are on task and quality standards are met, maintaining a clean and organized operation. 
  • Ensure signage is current and accurate. 
  • Collaborate with sport nutritionists, culinary staff, and other departments to provide optimal service and uphold the organization’s positive reputation. 
  • Report any malfunctions or repair needs affecting daily operations. 
  • Organize and coordinate transportation of food and equipment to alternative serving sites. 
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure continuous food availability throughout service. 
  • Uphold policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company and client expectations. 
  • Log and maintain food temperatures to ensure safety standards. 
  • Delegate tasks to staff and provide leadership during service. 
  • Perform additional duties as needed to ensure smooth operations. 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs. 
  • 1 year of leadership experience in a food service or similar setting. 
  • Previous food service experience is required. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks. 
  • Strong personal hygiene and professional mannerisms. 
  • ServSafe Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).
