We are a family of two dads and two children: an 11-year-old in sixth grade, and a 6-year-old first grader.  Both parents work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Our 11-year-old (who is sitting beside me as I write this) describes themself as “aggressive” (they say with a smile), “playful,” “smart,” and “curious,” and is an amazing artist and musician. Their 6-year-old brother is inquisitive, loves to play foursquare and basketball, and enjoys art and crafting with yarn. Both children are into music and setting up dance parties, and they enjoy playing together... until they don't. They closely watch one another's television consumption to ensure parity, and we hear about imbalances (or any other signs of unfairness) as soon as they occur! 

Flexible schedule: once every week or two, evenings or weekends for three to six hours at a stretch. 

We are a family of two dads and two children, an 11-year-old and 6-year-old, and we are looking for a reliable babysitter for occasional Fridays/weekends, during the day or in the evening. We'd love to set up a regular but flexible schedule that includes a “date night” and a few weekend hours to help us get things done. Both parents teach at UW-Madison. We live on Madison’s near west side near Hoyt Park (and halfway between West High School and Hilldale Mall).

Experience in childcare (whether formal or informal settings) is essential, as is the ability to manage two children at once.
