Position Summary/Job Duties:

Hello!

My husband, Marc, and I are looking for a reliable, caring, and experienced nanny to provide part-time care for our infant daughter in Madison, WI, from approximately February 2nd through the end of May 2026 (with possible extension into the summer). She will be about 3.5 months old at the start of care. We would like to start occasional babysitting before February and continue babysitting after May (consistency through the summer and beyond).

Details:

  • Location: We live on the west side of Madison near Owen Park Conservancy. We are directly on a bus line.
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:30am–4:00pm (approx. 22.5 hours/week). Please note these employment dates/schedule are for the Spring semester.
  • Duration: February 2nd - end of May 2026 (and extension for babysitting before February and after May). End date is flexible if traveling for summer/graduations/etc.
  • About Us: We both moved to Madison for grad school nearly 10 years ago and never left. We love being part of this community. We enjoy the outdoors, live music, and going on very slow walks with our two senior dogs. I work as a researcher at an educational company (fully remote), and my husband is a math teacher at Middleton High School.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Infant experience (references speaking to infant experience required)
  • Infant CPR and First Aid certified
  • Up to date on vaccinations (flu, covid, tdap, mmr)
  • Non-smoker
  • Comfortable around small dogs (<25 lbs). We have 2 friendly senior dogs who you will not need to complete any tasks for. I am able to let them out for potty breaks because I work from home.

We’re looking for someone who loves spending time with infants and is excited to engage in screen-free activities like reading, playing, and little adventures like walks, trips to the park. We are also looking for someone who is comfortable doing light baby-related tasks (washing baby dishes, baby laundry, tidying nursery, toys etc).
