	Flexible scheduling based on your academic availability and operational need 
	5 hours a week required, 10-15 hours per week preferred 
	Shifts are a minimum of 3 hours 
	Shifts are available from 7:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday 
 
Summer
	25-40 hours per week, positions based on availability & operational need, flexible scheduling options may be available, schedule will be set upon hire 
	Shifts are available from 7:00AM-4:30PM Monday-Friday 
	Seasonal:  This position is considered seasonal during the summer months and is exempt from the 89-day rule in regard to the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Hours worked may exceed 30 hours/week during the summer months.

		                    Position Summary/Job Duties:
             The Office Assistant position assists the Housing Facilities Offices with daily operations. This work is largely customer service focused working directly with residents, vendors and facilities employees. Office Assistants provide an organized and welcoming environment for staff and guests in Housing Facilities Offices. They support the administrative functions of the Housing Facilities Offices.  This position will assist in the Apartments Facilities Office located at 2997 Haight Rd.
	Assist in front desk operations and administrative support at Housing Facilities Office. 
	Perform general office duties including but not limited to answering phones, monitoring and responding to email, maintaining records, filing, word processing, updating spreadsheets, data entry and special projects 
	Report facilities-related issues and follow-up with staff, customers, and/or vendor partners as needed 
	Assist staff in ordering supplies and communicating with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials. 
	Effectively use appropriate computer systems (TMA and StarRez) for data entry and reporting purposes. 
	Communicate updates on requests to staff by email, phone, and in-person conversation. 
	Use Microsoft 365 Suite to provide support to staff, residents, vendors and campus partners. 
	Perform other administrative duties as assigned. 
	Summer specific duties:
	
		Assist with summer inspections of unoccupied buildings and apartments by entering work orders, pulling reports, and tracking damages 
		Assist in communicating to Facilities Supervisors regarding room servicing needs as submitted by conference guests 
	 
	 
 
          		
		                    Qualifications:
             
	Must be able to occasionally lift objects weighing approximately 50 lbs. 
	Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite is required. 
	Satisfactory results of a confidential background check are required. 
	A valid, unrestricted driver's license which meets UW-Risk Management standards is preferred.
