Department Overview:

Storybook Ballet is a niche children's ballet school that has been in operation since 2000. Our philosophy is unique in that we focus on the love of dance while intertwining fairytales and a touch of magic! We are nestled in the lower level of glamorous Hilldale - offering our families a warm and inviting atmosphere each week. Each class is approached with thought and each lesson plan is crafted with a balance of education of the art form and the joy of movement. We have five levels of classes for ages 3-10 years.

Schedule:

Our ballet classes are offered mornings, afternoons, and evenings seven days per week (including weekends). Our school offers 3 sessions per year with breaks in between sessions. No classes during major holiday breaks. 

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $15.00 to $28.00

Storybook Ballet, just minutes from the UW campus, is known for its warm, magical atmosphere paired with strong technique, thoughtful curriculum, and high standards. We believe children deserve both beauty and structure, and we train our teachers carefully to ensure consistency, excellence, and joy in every class.

We are looking for someone who sees teaching ballet as a profession and is excited to commit to a school community.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in classical ballet training
  • Experience teaching children (ages 3–9 preferred)
  • Professional, reliable, and punctual
  • Comfortable following an established curriculum and philosophy
  • Open to mentorship, feedback, and continued teacher training
  • Excellent communication with students, parents, and staff
