Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are an active professional family that recently moved from Ann Arbor, Michigan to Madison for a job at UW. We have three active children (ages: 9 months, 3 years and 5 years) and a puppy, and will be moving to a house in the Nakoma neighborhood mid February.  We are looking for a kind, proactive partner to join our household team - someone who can jump in with confidence and help our home run smoothly.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable and confident managing three children independently. While we are often home working, we need someone who can take charge of the "kid zone" so we can focus on other things we need to get done.

We have a strong preference for a Spanish speaker who would enjoy introducing the language to the kids through play, reading, or conversation, as we hope to enroll our kids in a dual-language immersion program next Fall.

Things we specifically need help with include:

1) Childcare (primary): Engaging the kids in fun activities, managing different ages/stages simultaneously, and maintaining a safe, happy environment.

2) Household Support: We would appreciate help with a variety of light day-to-day tasks to keep the house humming (e.g., loading/unloading the dishwasher, folding laundry, or tidying up play areas).

3) The "Reset": Helping with the evening pick-up and reset so we can start the next day fresh.

We Are Looking For Someone With:

-Proactive Nature: You have an eye for what needs to be done and are happy to jump in without needing a checklist or an ask for every task.

-Experience: Background with multiple young children, specifically in the infant to kindergarten ages.

-Language: Spanish fluency or conversational ability is a huge plus!

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

-Ideally 3-5 or more years experience working with young children.

-Excellent references from proir families.

-Comfortable with pets (we have a puppy).

-Reliable transportation

-No need for child transportation now, but that need could arise next Fall, so a clean driving record and a car would a plus.

-Language: Spanish fluency or conversational ability is a huge plus!
