Position Summary/Job Duties:

I am looking for an individual who is interested in part-time dog walking and in-home pet services for a 15 year-old miniature poodle (Kirby) and a 3 year-old orange tabby cat (Simon) will be 3 years old on May 15. I work part-time at the University. Currently, this semester, I need dog walking services on Monday evenings from 5:30-6:30 and possibly Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30. Kirby walks 2 blocks in his old age. Rate is $30 for dog walking.

I take occasional vacations 5-10 days in length or weekend overnight trips. The 2 pets get along very well. It would work best to do in-home care for them. I live in a safe neighborhood in Monona, making it an easy trip to and from the campus area. The Madison Metro bus stops right outside my house on Dean Ave.

Caregiver can be gone for 4 hours/5 hours max for other jobs/classes. In-home rate is $65/day or negotiable.  I have a fenced yard for the dog. Kirby is accustomed to 2 short walks/day. He uses the fenced area in between walks. Simon needs to be fed and have litter boxes cleaned daily. Kirby eats twice daily. Interested persons may contact me at rtennant@wisc.edu  Thank you for considering.

Qualifications:

Person needs to enjoy taking care of pets (dog and cat) and have experience as a pet owner or caregiver. The person needs to be diligent about cleaning the cat boxes daily and cleaning food and water bowls. Looking for a trustworthy individual to stay with pets for occasional extended times.

Physical Demands

dog weighs about 15-16 lbs.
