Schedule:

  • Currently we have multiple shifts open; Our agency requires one shift during the week and one shift every other weekend
  • Mornings; 7:00am-8:30am (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and 7:30am-10:30am (Tuesday, Thursday). This shift includes morning breakfast, dressing and hygiene before going to vocations. 
  • Afternoons: 3:30p-8:00pm Monday-Friday. This shift includes dinner, medication, hygiene and housekeeping. 
  • Weekends: 2:00pm-7:00pm (Saturday, Sunday): This shift includes daytime entertainment, dinner, hygiene, and housekeeping. 


 

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $20.00 to $20.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are looking for  dedicated Direct Care Workers to provide support for two adults, both in their early thirties, in a home and community setting. They value getting out in the community and engaging in meaningful activities! This location is in the Madison downtown area with nearby access to bus routes, groceries stories and community spaces. Direct Care Worker responsibilities include:

  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including light housekeeping, meal preparations, dressing and personal hygiene, and continence. 
  • Support individuals in following daily routines and schedules. 
  • Assist with medication delivery and documentation (as directed) 
  • Provide transportation and/or support during community events or recreational activities (may use community transportation services such as Uber) 
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with supervisors and/or family members 
  • Introduce and explore activities such as playing games, arts and crafts, or listening to concerts. Have fun!!!



 

Qualifications:

  • Patience, empathy and strong communication skills 
  • Ability to stay calm and supportive in challenging situations
  • Willingness to dedicate time for building relationships. 
  • Valid drivers license and access to transportation is preferred, but not required. 
  • Ability to pass background checks
