Schedule:
Hours
12-14 hours per week on average, weekly office hours/shifts include some evening/weekend hours each week
Scheduling requirements:
Must work a minimum of one 3-hour programming shift per week
Regular programming shifts are from 5:30-9 pm on Sunday and Tuesday-Thursday
Must work a minimum of one morning or afternoon shift (between the hours of 9AM-5PM) per week for office hours, program planning, and meetings
Availability between 4pm-8pm on a weekday evening (Monday-Thursday) for an average of 2 hours for staff meetings. If this block of time on a weeknight does not work for you, please indicate in your application, so supervisors can work out an alternate plan.
Attendance at regularly scheduled one on one meetings with your supervisor.
Flexible scheduling based on academic availability, operational need, and supervisor approval.
Summer hours, November/Fall Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break hours not available.

Position Summary/Job Duties:
Center for Cultural Enrichment (CCE) Student Coordinators are responsible for planning and implementing programs within the residence halls that foster connection, belonging, and engagement among on-campus residents. Through intentional program development and collaboration, Student Coordinators support students’ transition to UW–Madison, encourage community building, and enhance the Wisconsin Experience. Working as part of a team, they help advance the department’s goals of creating inclusive, respectful communities that promote residents’ personal and academic success.
Duties & Responsibilities
Staff and provide administrative & operational assistance to the Center for Cultural Enrichment.
Plan and execute workshops, discussions and community builders that are aligned with the Wisconsin Residential Experience and Departmental Values & Priorities.
Facilitate program collaborations from co-sponsorships, student organizations, campus partners and Residence Life units.
Help promote CCE, University Housing and campus events & initiatives.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with unit teams, academic staff, House Fellows, and student staff in the community.
Support and staff prospective student outreach efforts including giving tours, acting as a student ambassador, attending prospective student events and distributing materials.
Assist with Departmental or Divisional Committees, staff interviews, focus groups as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
All applicants must be currently enrolled at UW-Madison and maintain enrollment through the employment period.
At the time of start date, applicant must have completed 2 semesters of on-site college attendance, post high school. Summer school does not count as a semester. Transfer students must submit transcripts from previous institutions to reflect the 2-semester completion.
During pre-employment and employment, a student staff member must abide by the University Residence Halls Contract, the Student Housing Handbook and the University of Wisconsin System academic and non-academic policies and expectations.
Must be able to attend training on the dates listed above in Additional Scheduling Notes.
