Schedule:

•    Flexible hours based on your schedule.
•    This position may be eligible for telecommuting. Telecommuting agreement will be finalized upon hire.
•    Office of Online & Professional Learning Resources (OPLR) is located at 780 Regent Street, near the Kohl Center and within walking           distance of UW-Madison campus.
•    10-20 hours per week with flexible scheduling

  • Office hours are 8:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Thursday; 8:00am-4:30pm, Friday
  • Work early or work late, depending on your needs.
  • Additional hours are available during winter, spring, and summer breaks.

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $14.00 to $15.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

The Office of Online & Professional Learning Resources (OPLR) is seeking a student to assist with various support-related services for online students, primarily services related to success coaching and financial aid. This position offers flexible hours and competitive wages. We offer an opportunity to gain professional-level work within Higher Education. We are happy to coordinate information interviews to help you learn about career options within Higher Education and further develop your skillset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate student information and enrollment plan records in CRM (customer relationship management) system
  • Assist with monitoring, managing, and logging student communications (primarily email).
  • Track steps in student onboarding processes and work closely with success coaching and financial aid teams throughout student onboarding
  • Scanning, filing, and processing mail
  • Data entry
  • Use of various systems, including CRM and document imaging systems
  •  Assist with special projects or activities as assigned, or desired

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Good organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Skilled in typing, data entry
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to apply judgment and analysis to work performed

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Ability to work with a team and independently

•    Must be an enrolled technical, undergraduate, or graduate student
•    Comfortable learning new systems and processes
•    Must be self-driven

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior office and/or data entry experience
