About the Opportunity

We are looking for a creative, motivated college student to join our team as a Social Media Marketing Intern. This is not a “watch and learn” internship—this is a chance to build, test, and create real content that reaches a real audience.

Our mission as a marketing team is to bring fresh, engaging, and even fun energy to an industry that is traditionally seen as anything but. Your role will be to help us translate ideas, insights, and expertise into content that actually connects—especially with a younger audience.

What You’ll Do

  • Turn long-form content (videos, conversations, insights) into short-form, engaging social media clips
  • Help develop creative concepts, themes, and recurring “hooks” or series
  • Experiment with content styles, trends, and formats across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Assist in building and growing social media accounts from the ground up
  • Monitor trends and suggest ways to apply them in a unique, brand-relevant way
  • Collaborate directly with leadership and contribute ideas that actually get used

This is a creative, experimental environment—we want someone who is excited to try things, test ideas, and figure out what works.

What We’re Looking For

  • Interest in social media, marketing, content creation, or digital media
  • Strong sense of what captures attention online (especially for Gen Z audiences)
  • Creative thinker who can make “boring” topics engaging, relatable, or entertaining
  • Comfortable experimenting with new ideas and learning as you go
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through

Experience is not required—but curiosity, creativity, and follow-through are.

What You’ll Gain

  • Real-world, hands-on experience creating and executing social media strategy
  • The opportunity to build and grow accounts—including working toward meaningful milestones (e.g., follower growth, engagement, monetization thresholds)
  • Direct mentorship from experienced and well-connected business and marketing leaders, including working directly with the former vice president of marketing from a major national insurance company
  • Creative freedom to test ideas and develop your own voice and style
  • A meaningful portfolio of work you can showcase to future employers
  • strong, detailed letter of recommendation based on your contributions
  • A professional title (e.g., Digital Content Specialist) for your resume
  • Please note: there is no monetary compensation for this position.

Why This Is Different

Most internships have you observing. This one has you building from scratch—with the support, guidance, and freedom to make it your own.

If you’ve ever wanted to prove you can grow an audience, create engaging content, and make an impact—this is your opportunity.
