Department Overview:

We are three independently owned Madison staples, each with a distinct personality and loyal community following. Fabiola's Spaghetti House & Deli is a neighborhood Italian comfort food destination. Leopold's Books Bar Caffè blends a love of literature, coffee, and cocktails. Greenbush Bar is a classic Madison pizzeria and tavern with deep roots in the Greenbush neighborhood. Together, we're looking to grow our social media presence and better connect with the UW community and Madison locals.

Schedule:

Flexible part-time hours, including some evenings and weekends to capture specials, events, and nighttime atmosphere at each location. Specific scheduling will be determined with the hired candidate.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Social Media Coordinator to support three iconic Madison establishments — Fabiola's Spaghetti House & Deli, Leopold's Books Bar Caffè, and Greenbush Bar — over the summer. This is a part-time position ideal for a student with an eye for compelling content and a passion for local food and culture. The right candidate will be able to write and post in the voice of each business, understanding that each location has its own personality and brand identity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and scheduling engaging posts across Instagram accounts for all three locations
  • Writing captions that match each location's unique brand voice and aesthetic
  • Photographing food, drinks, events, and atmosphere at each venue
  • Advertising weekly specials, promotions, and events in a timely and visually appealing way
  • Monitoring comments and engagement on posts

The coordinator will split time across all three locations as needed and will report directly to ownership.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled UW-Madison student
  • Experience with Instagram content creation (personal or professional)
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice across different brands
  • Strong photography skills; smartphone photography is acceptable
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet posting deadlines
  • Interest in food, hospitality, or local Madison culture a plus
