Position Summary/Job Duties:
We are two close-knit families seeking warm, experienced childcare support for our two infant boys, who will both be approximately 4 months old at the start of the position. This is a nanny-share arrangement beginning in January 2027 .
We are looking for a reliable individual—or a team of supporters—to join our "village." Both moms (Hannah and Allie) work from our home offices most of the time, so while we will be working in our own spaces most of the time, we will also be nearby and able to provide support and guidance as-needed. We are eager to foster a collaborative and supportive environment in each of our homes; we also want to be mindful of respecting your process, allowing for a healthy amount of separation, and avoiding stepping on your toes.
Schedule & Flexibility
Our goal is to find coverage Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM , but we are very flexible and open to creative scheduling .
Full-Time or Part-Time: We are happy to hire one full-time provider or multiple part-time supporters to split the week (e.g., one person for M/T/F and another for W/Th). We will coordinate the logistics of weekly scheduling we find multiple great part-time supporters! So, even if you are only available for half-days or a few days each week, please still consider reaching out!
Location: Care will take place in our homes, alternating between the East Side and West Side of Madison . Again, there is flexibility here; if we find several part-time supporters who are based in different parts of Madison, we are happy and eager to figure out a weekly schedule with locations that work best for everyone.
Transportation: Ideal candidates will have their own reliable transportation to either neighborhood. You will not be responsible for transporting babies between our houses; we will manage transport so they’re both at the scheduled location for that day.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborative care for two infants (feeding, diapering, and nap routines).
Engaging the boys in age-appropriate developmental play and tummy time.
Maintaining a safe, nurturing environment while moms are working nearby.
Open communication with both families regarding the boys’ daily rhythms and routines.
Who You Are
Friendly, Warm, and Collaborative: You have a nurturing spirit and a calm presence. You genuinely enjoy the "infant stage" (or maybe you are hoping to learn more about it!) and can bring a sense of joy and patience into your care.
Experienced: Ideally, you have some experience with the newborn-to-one-year stage.
Flexible & Open to Collaboration: You are comfortable navigating a two-family share and open to the "team" aspect of supporting babies alongside work-from-home moms.
Qualified: CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to be) with strong references.
Compensation & Perks
Hourly Rate: $25-$30 / hour, depending on your level of experience.
Collaborative Environment: You won’t be "on an island"—we are available for support and backup throughout each day.
Customizable Hours: We are eager to work around your existing commitments (school, other jobs, etc.) to find a schedule that works for everyone.
