Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are looking for full time child care for August, start date is most likely August 3, for our 6 and 8 year old granddaughters who will be staying with us a month. Their mother will be with us too but will be busy with her newborn. The girls love anything creative--drawing, reading, legos, exploring, dressing up and swimming. We are looking for someone who can engage them in their imaginative play. We also have a pool membership and most afternoons will be spent at the pool, so we need someone who can competently swim.  We are both emeritus faculty who taught in the medical school and one of us still works parttime.  We live a few blocks from the bike path and a bus stop on the near west side. We are looking for someone who is reliable, kind, warm, caring and fun.  We do not have pets and we are a non-smoking household. Additional responsibilities include preparing the girls lunch, helping with clean up and with dinner.  We look forward to hearing from you!

Qualifications:

We are looking for a warm, caring, and responsible person who has experience caring for children these ages and can provide references and can swim. 

Physical Demands

 occasionally picking up a six year old
